We can not say enough good things about the care our mother has received at Hillside Village. Mom moved in just a few weeks before COVID hit. The staff have done an excellent job of caring for her health needs and making her feel right at home. The organization has done a great job of balancing the need for visit restrictions with the desire of family to be together. Mom’s health and well being have improved significantly due to the amazing care and nutrition. Thanks Hillside staff and management for a job well done!
I wanted to give the biggest shout out to Hillside village of DeSoto, we lost my father-in-law last night, and they treated him like he was their family member. My husband & I feel a connection with the absolute caring staff there. We couldn't have asked for a better place for him to be for his final days. He passed away with dignity and grace which he deserved. My mother was there in 2021 but for a very short 4 days before her passing. My in-laws moved into the Assisted side March of 2022 until my Mother-in-law's passing Jan of this year. With dad's declining health he was moved to the skilled side. I can't say enough about this little gem we have here in DeSoto but if you need a place that cares for an aging loved one, this is it. Again many thanks - Staci Clark Schulz

My Mother has lived at Hillside Assisted Living for almost 4 years. They are WONDERFUL!! Very clean facility. Every employee has been kind and so helpful. It's very evident they truly care about the residents. If I have a question or concern it is addressed immediately. They provide activities available to anyone interested. We are made aware of any changes happening by way of email. The cost comparatively is very reasonable. EVERY employee from the owner to the kitchen help/ housekeeping and everyone in between seem to enjoy their job. During Covid they handled it professionally and kept control with keeping vaccinations available and never having anything but mild symptoms that never required hospitalization. I would highly recommend this facility!!!!
My dad has been at Hillside a short 2 1/2 months. He 1st came to skilled nursing for therapy from his hip surgery. By his determination and encouragement from all of staff he was able to move to assisted living apartment. In this 2 1/2 months he has been enjoying the life he so deserves. EvErYoNe goes beyond their job description to care for my dad. Hillside Village is a little Heaven on this God's green earth. All staff could teach and show a lot of other facilities and hospitals how to care for our senior loved ones. I am forever grateful God lead me to Hillside Village. God Bless you all.

This 5 star review is way overdue. We are not one to place reviews unless they meet our high expectations. Hillside Village of Desoto clearly meets that standard and more, which is rare today.
Our family had both of our parents at HSV of Desoto since 2019. Our father has since passed away but our Mom still resides there.
We toured several nursing homes before we stumbled on HSV of Desoto.
The moment we stepped into the building, met the team, and got out to our car, we had no doubt this was a place we had to get our parents into.
Starting at the top, from the owner, to the administrator, to the Director of Nursing, you could not ask for a better management team. More so you could not ask for a more humble, modest, caring set of individuals.
Having said all of the above, the staff that actually cares for the residents is phenomenal. They are absolute professionals. The care for the residents, the activities they hold daily for residents, the updates they provide to family members, and so much more is, in our opinion, 5 stars without any doubt.
You get a sense of warmth and acceptance the moment you enter the facility.
Placing our parents at HSV of Desoto, was the best decision we as a family have made in the care of our parents and for that we will be forever grateful to this nursing home.
